The Problem

YourPAL is a productivity app built from the ground up around three problems students know well: procrastination, burnout and bad timekeeping. The concept is an AI-driven personal assistant that learns how you work - pinpointing your peak productivity hours and building bespoke schedules around them - and goes beyond task management to track wellness and surface insight into how you actually spend your time.

Approach

This was my introduction to Figma and to app design, and as much an exercise in user journey and mapping as in interface design. The organising question was temporal: how does a student move through the app over a day, a week, a term? I worked outward from those journeys - flows first, then screens - so the interface followed the behaviour rather than the other way round.

Resolved

The outcome is a complete set of wireframes and user flows and a functional Figma mockup - the dashboard, the schedule and the wellness view - the foundation an iterative build would refine. Not a shipped app, but a fully reasoned one.
